The mission of Missouri Safe at School:  Anti-Bullying and Autism Awareness is to promote and support groundbreaking research that leads to significant advancements in the understanding of autism and the lived experiences of students with autism, and ultimately improves the quality of human life for Missouri students.

We welcome collaborations with researchers and research organizations from all over the world. Our goal is to foster a community of educators, lawmakers, scholars, and community members who share our vision of advancing safety for students with autism in Missouri schools, knowledge of lived experiences with autism, and making a positive impact for autism awareness on society.

Absolutely. The Freddie Ford Family Foundation has support for students with autism and a specific group for teens with autism and support for their parents. For Missouri parents, join our Parents of Teens with ASD Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/278035131191091/

Once parents join, they can connect their teens to the teen text group and Flare Group for them to socialize with other Missouri Teens with ASD, learn about and participate in social events, chat with each other in the group, participate in weekly social skills calls, and get the opportunity to learn from speakers in special learning events & projects. 

We evaluate research proposals based on their scientific merit, potential impact, feasibility, and alignment with our mission and values. We also take into account the qualifications and track record of the researchers and the availability of resources.
